Guiding Principles

1.  Education - A commitment to lifelong learning and teaching and training for all Nebraskans.

2. Inclusivity - A commitment to collaborate with and support peoples across all of Nebraska.

3. Stewardship - A commitment to make wise use of the natural resources provided by the earth.

Our Mission

Empowering Nebraskans with the knowledge, capacity, and infrastructure to minimize pollution and improve the natural environment. We love Nebraska and believe our state is worthy of respect and admiration.

Who we are:

Founded in 2020 - Nebraska GREENSTEP (NeGS) began when a group of friends, from different parts of Nebraska, noticed that excessive COST and limited ACCESS to recycling are major barriers for Nebraskans across the state. KNOWLEDGE of what can be recycled, how items should be separated or cleaned, and where curb-side or drop off recycling is available - are logistics people want to know more about. The need for education and easy access to affordable, ecofriendly products and programs is WHY NeGS was pioneered.

NeGS is a nonprofit, Nebraska-based organization with a VISION of affordable, renewable energy, powering all Nebraska homes and businesses, with negligible landfill waste throughout the state.

If you love Nebraska...

If you appreciate the beautiful land, fresh water, and clean air of our state...

If you respect local farmers and gardeners...

If you want to recycle...

If you wish you could recycle more...

If you are interested in composting or soil preservation...

If you want to get involved with this Nebraska organization...
